Nobody Should Turn Down Free Months

Form an LLC through Bizee and the agent service comes bundled at no cost for three to twelve months, depending on the package. That is real value rather than a technicality. Florida requires the appointment the moment your Articles of Organization are filed, so those free months land on a period you would otherwise be paying for.

If you are forming a company anyway and the package suits you, take it. This page is not an argument against the bundle.

$149 Is the Rate You Are Actually Choosing

It is an argument about what happens next.

The standalone Bizee rate is $149 a year. Once the bundled months run out, that is what the appointment costs, and it keeps costing that for as long as the company exists. A twelve-month freebie followed by twenty years of $149 is, in the end, a $149 purchase.

Fifty dollars a year. Small on its own, and permanent, which is rather the point.

Our Rate Has No Second Chapter

$99 a year, renewing at $99, with no bundle attached and therefore no bundle to expire.

For that you get a Florida street address on the public record instead of your own, service of process scanned and sent the same business day it arrives, email alerts as documents land, portal access to all of it, and reminders before Florida's annual report deadline. Want ordinary business mail scanned too? $15 an item, and that is the only extra charge we have.

Not the smallest number on the board. BetterLegal advertises $90 a year. Ours is among the lowest published Florida prices, with nothing scheduled to expire.

The Sunbiz Paperwork for Replacing Bizee

Start with who is allowed to take the role. Fla. Stat. § 605.0113 permits an individual who lives in Florida, a Florida entity with an active filing, or a foreign entity authorized to transact business here. In every case the registered office must be a Florida street address that is genuinely the agent's own business address. PO boxes do not qualify. Your LLC cannot appoint itself either, although a member or officer may serve personally if they are content to have their address on public display.

Then the filing. An LLC uses the Division's statement of change for LLCs, INHS18, sent to the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations with a $25 fee. It asks for the entity name and document number, the agent going out, the agent coming in, the new registered office address, and the incoming agent's signature accepting the appointment.

That signature is why the sequencing takes care of itself, provided you let it. Engage the new agent, obtain the acceptance, file, then watch your Sunbiz record until the new name appears on it. Only after that should the Bizee arrangement end. Reversing those steps leaves a window in which your company sits on the register with nobody standing behind the appointment, and no part of a $50 annual saving is worth that window.

There is also a calendar shortcut. If your annual report has not gone in yet and the January to May window is still open, the change can ride along on that report instead of taking a form of its own.
