Florida Registered Agent Services, Ranked for 2026
A clean Florida registered agent setup for $99 per year. You get the office address on file, scanned legal mail, and compliance reminders ahead of state deadlines.
Nine services compete to be your registered agent in Florida. They do not cost the same amount, and a few would prefer you not work out what they cost at all. Below: verified prices, our ranking, and the state rules that apply no matter which one you hire.
First, the disclosure. This page is published by Florida Registered Agent.io, and we sell the service ranked first. Weigh our verdicts however you see fit; the numbers are each vendor's advertised rates and stand on their own.
How We Ranked Them
Three questions drove the order. What do you actually pay per year once any teaser expires? Does the vendor publish that number at all? And what is included at that price? Flat, published, all-inclusive rates rank high. Quarterly billing and unpublished renewals rank low.
On advertised rate alone we are not the winner. BetterLegal's published $90 makes it the cheapest registered agent service in Florida on paper; our $99 is among the lowest flat annual prices, includes same-day scanning of legal documents, and holds at renewal.

The Rankings
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order Here1. Florida Registered Agent.io
Our service. $99 per year, flat, and the renewal invoice matches the first invoice. Service of process is scanned and delivered the same business day it reaches our office. No upsell tier waits behind the order form, and the single add-on charge that exists is published up front: $15 per item to scan mail beyond legal service. A Florida street address goes on your Sunbiz record. That combination at this price is why we hold our own top spot.
2. Northwest Registered Agent
The strongest competitor on the page. Northwest publishes real numbers: first year free when bundled with formation, then $125 annually for 1-4 states, dropping to $100 per state at five or more. Support is staffed by people rather than ticket queues, and the company's privacy posture is credible. It costs more than our service at renewal. That is the entire critique.
3. BetterLegal
BetterLegal advertises $90 per year, the lowest published rate in this comparison, and we rank it third without hedging about the price: it beats ours. First-year terms were not verifiable when we checked, so confirm what the initial charge looks like before committing.
4. Rocket Lawyer
$125 per year, identical across all membership tiers, and no first-year discount found, which also means no renewal surprise. The agent offering is one module of a broad legal platform. Useful if you want the platform. Overhead if you do not.
5. ZenBusiness
The platform is the pro: clean dashboards, capable automation, a coherent product. The price structure is the con. A standalone registered agent purchase runs $99 plus state fees in year one and renews at $199. Evaluate ZenBusiness at $199, because that is the number you will live with.
6. Bizee (formerly Incfile)
Formation customers get the agent service free for 3 to 12 months depending on package; the standalone rate is $149 per year. The free window is genuinely useful. It is also a clock. When it runs out, $149 begins, so note the date it ends.
7. LegalZoom
The most recognizable name in the category, with scale to match. The rate: $249 per year, flat, auto-renewing, no first-year discount found, and the highest flat annual price here. Brand recognition is the product. Whether it justifies the premium over every flat-rate service ranked above it is your call.
8. Swyft Filings
$149, billed quarterly. Annualized, that is roughly $596, the highest effective yearly cost in this comparison. Quarterly billing obscures annual cost, which is why this entry sits near the bottom regardless of service quality. Compare it at the annualized figure, not the quarterly one.
9. Inc Authority
Year one is $0, included free. The renewal price is not published. We checked the FAQ, the premium package pages, and the homepage; the number appears nowhere and likely surfaces only at checkout or by phone. An unpublished renewal is the precise pattern this comparison exists to catch, and it earns last place.
Who Can Serve as a Registered Agent in Florida
Florida law, at Fla. Stat. § 605.0113 for LLCs, allows three categories of agent: an individual residing in Florida, a domestic entity with an active filing at the Division of Corporations, or a foreign entity authorized to transact business in the state. Two hard rules apply to all three. The registered office must be a Florida street address identical to the agent's business address, with no PO boxes accepted. And the agent must be reachable there during normal business hours. An entity cannot appoint itself, though an officer or member may serve individually. All nine services in the table satisfy the statute. The statute is the floor, not the comparison.
What Switching Costs in Florida
$25 for an LLC. The filing is the Statement of Change of Registered Office or Registered Agent or Both, form INHS18, submitted to the Division of Corporations. Corporations pay $35 on their own change form. If your annual report has not been filed yet this year, there is an even simpler path: designate the new agent directly on the report during the January 1 to May 1 window and skip the change form entirely. Switching agents is not a lock-in risk in Florida. Do not let an incumbent's inertia make this decision for you.
The May 1 Deadline Your Agent Should Flag
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereEvery Florida LLC and corporation files an annual report between January 1 and May 1. The LLC fee is $138.75. Miss May 1 and the state adds a $400 late fee that cannot be waived. This is where an agent earns its keep beyond receiving mail: reminders that arrive before the deadline, not after. Ours are included at no charge. Whichever vendor you shortlist, ask whether compliance alerts cost extra.
Pick One and Move On
The table is the decision. If a published flat $99 with same-day scanning and an unchanging renewal fits, order below and be done in minutes.
